Job Description


  • Apply advanced knowledge of materials, production planning and supply chain management as well as draw upon substantial experience to identify and/or solve highly complex business problems.
  • Contribute to the development of strategic plans within the primary functional areas.  Implement or assist in the implementation of strategic plans developed for the plants functional areas.
  • Drive plant productivity by effective scheduling and optimizing assembly line capacity.


  • Develop strategic plans that supplement and enable senior leadership's plant and business goals.
  •  Implement world-class systems and tools in production planning, inventory control, materials management, warehouse management, and material distribution.
  • Actively reduce inventory through advanced analytics while maintaining customer service in a complex and dynamic production environment consisting of CTO and PCB manufacturing.
  • Ensure that production and inventory control practices are consistent with other facilities to the extent possible.
  • Pursue long-term corrective actions from suppliers who exhibit quality or delivery problems by partnering with Purchasing and Sourcing.
  • Develop goals/targets for all direct reports and regularly provide feedback on progress towards those goals.
  • Work with BU partners to develop top level business forecasts for all Twinsburg products, and understand and manage changes due to new products, series changes, etc.  Communicate changes to all key stakeholders, to effectively plan inventory appropriately throughout the system for finished goods as well as components.
  • Develop and maintain the master schedule. Directly manage the local plant materials and production functions to implement production schedules by assembly area.  Provide analysis and analytical tools for manufacturing in order to execute schedules and optimize inventory.
  • Provide data and analytics to purchasing to drive improvements in lot sizes and lead times for all materials supplied internally and externally.
  • Work closely with DMI and other distributor inventory information systems to develop understanding of channel inventories and the impact on the business.  Provide tools and information to better utilize this information in customer service and manufacturing planning.
  • Manage cycle count / inventory accuracy programs.  Provide analysis of root cause of errors and initiate corrective action.
  • Work with BU Finance and Operations Finance to review, reserve and disposition excess and obsolete inventory in distribution sites as well as the manufacturing facility.
  • Develop inventory plans in support of the annual operation plan (AOP) by working with the BU, Finance, and Materials.
  • Lead and conduct physical inventory of all Rockwell inventories on an annual basis.


  • Bachelor's degree

  • BS or BA Degree in Operations/Materials/or Supply Chain.
  • SAP ERP system functionality and parameters required.
  • Rockwell Automation will only employ those who are legally authorized to work in the United States for this opening.
  • Leadership experience within a production/inventory control environment required.
  • Experience across APICS SCOR Model (Make, Source, Plan, Deliver) is required.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in Materials or Operations Management.
  • Must have both production and career band employee management experience.
  • APICS or CSCP certification is preferred.
