Simpson College is seeking qualified candidates for a part-time cashier for the Business Office.  This is a 10-month position.

Principal Duties

Responsible for daily cash transactions and receipting of cash (internal and external.) This includes, but not limited to, daily balancing, administering and tracking petty cash for the College, bank deposits, recording receipt of gifts and other transactions, and providing assistance to customers in person, by phone, and by email.  This position will work with/mentor student staff members on a daily basis. Other duties will be assigned by the supervisor as needed.

Qualifications

Qualifications include, but are not limited to,

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong relationship building, customer service, and communication skills
  • Detail oriented
  • Ability to work with frequent interruptions
  • An Associate degree or equivalent work experience preferred
  • The successful candidate will have the ability to work as a team member as well as independently
