Job Description

The Partner Commercial Program Lead is responsible for the development and implementation of internal and external marketing programs related to the Rockwell Automation Partner Ecosystem in order to build awareness, drive adoption and generate annual recurring revenue. At Rockwell Automation, we believe in the power of combining data and technology to achieve results in manufacturing and production. We have dramatically expanded our offerings with several recent acquisitions, as well as new partner development, to help companies bring information technology (IT) and operational technology (OT) together thus bringing the benefits of the Connected Enterprise to the production system. The position requires a collaborative and very proactive individual that is experienced in working across a matrixed organization to drive integrated, impactful internal and external marketing plans, content and communications. The Partner Commercial Program Lead must possess strong communication and organizational skills, promotional and technical writing skills, business software proficiency, a base knowledge of Rockwell Automation products, solutions and services and an understanding of modern marketing strategies and applications.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Relationship management: Develop strong, collaborative relationships with marketing functions within partner organizations to drive impactful marketing planning and execution within both organizations.

  • Liaison to the regional marketing and market access leaders: Work with Regional Market Access and Marketing leads to understand and develop partner communication strategies, messaging and material that have local impact.

  • Internal business alignment: Work collaboratively with Sales, Product Management, Industry and Portfolio Marketing, and Regional Marketing as well as business unit leaders to identify priorities and marketing initiatives relative to partner inclusion and amplification.

  • Sales Enablement / Commercial Planning Support: Lead development and maintenance of partner content including: messaging, partner collateral and communications, sales enablement, success stories, as well as collaboration with the global Public Relations team for press and social media execution. Coordinate with the global portfolio, service and industry marketing teams for cohesive strategy with broader company initiatives.

  • Commercial Events: Work with the Global Marketing and Communications team to manage and lead partner participation in key events such as Automation Fair, Rockwell Automation on the Move, PartnerNetwork Conference, and ROKLive. Collaborate with partners to position Rockwell Automation favorably within partner or other third-party events as well.

  • Budgeting: Establish and manage a marketing budget to support commercial marketing plan.

  • Project Management: Strong project management skills with experience gaining consensus and driving deliverables inside and outside the organization. Strong track record of cross-functional, cross-regional collaboration and delivery of results

  • Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills with executive presence and an innate attention to detail.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Arts or Science degree, or equivalent, in business, marketing, IT, and related disciplines or related field.

  • 5+ years of proven experience planning and executing global, integrated B2B marketing programs. Demonstrated experience in driving pipeline and revenue.

  • Experience marketing enterprise software, cloud technologies and SaaS offerings

  • Passion and curiosity for technology, evolving trends in digital transformation, cloud, data analytics and IIoT technologies and ability to connect the dots across a broad portfolio of offerings to effectively articulate strategy and differentiation.

  • Base knowledge of Rockwell Automation market, products, solutions, and services. Additional knowledge or experience with Cisco a plus.

  • Awareness of general industrial market trends and capacity to integrate into messaging

  • Familiarity with persona-based marketing and other modern marketing strategies and applications

  • Working familiarity of business tools such as PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Teams and other common business tools

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong planning and organizational skills

  • This role is required to travel domestic/internationally up to 15%
