Job Description

The Services Project Manager is the primary contact for Rockwell Automation's customers for CSM Projects and Contracts. They are focused on leading the execution and completion of projects in terms of maintaining timelines, customer satisfaction and costs, and are assigned by the REM. The role will be expected to manage fixed price projects, T&E projects, and Bundled Contracts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Primary point of contact for all projects/contracts as assigned (by REMs for regions they support)
  • Manage all Projects per PMI methodology (Initiate, Plan, Execute, Control, Close) from PO receipt to project closure/customer sign-off
  • Regularly provides updates to customers on project status.  Creates/provides updates as required by customer per project (i.e. bi-weekly/monthly/quarterly).
  • Leads face-to-face meetings for large (>100k) projects/contracts (kick-off and close-out at minimum)
  • Consultant to Project/Contract Proposal teams on resource needs/pricing
  • Manages Contractual activities to ensure timely completion (i.e. Preventative Maintenance)
  • Regularly updates Quickbase with cost, margin, forecasted completion dates
  • Ensures project/contract cash flow is followed per proposal (i.e. timely invoicing and payment)
  • Demonstrates commercial skills in fulfilling customer requirements
  • Collaborates with CSM/SSB/CSB and product divisions and sub-contractors to ensure the scope of work is met
  • Quickly reacts and responds to urgent customer needs, ensuring a timely and quality response.
  • Plans/prepares resources to be able to meet customer demands.
  • Identifies, predicts, and minimizes technical, contractual, and financial risks and effectively plans for the project/contract lifecycle
  • Prepare regional projects revenue forecast, and updated monthly projections
  • Maintenance and storage of Project/Contract documentation as required by RA policy
  • Identifies and leads process improvement projects
  • Ensure project/contract teams follow proper safety procedures per RA and customer policy
  • Travel as required to cover assigned region/sub-region (<25%). Accessible during off hours, weekends and holidays.

  • Bachelor's Degree
