Sodexo is seeking an energetic, self-motivated Food Service Manager 2 with a passion and drive for patient satisfaction to join the Food & Nutrition team at at SSM Health St. Mary's Hospital in Richmond Heights, MO. The Food Service Manager will assist with patient services, retail, and catering oversight for the 500-bed teaching hospital and the hospital cafe. The Food Service Manager will be an exceptional leader with the ability to direct, mentor, and retain a frontline team with strong communication skills. The Food Service Manager ensures smooth operations, delegates tasks, and ensures all customer and client goals are met and exceeded.
If you have experience in Restaurants, Food Service, Patient Services, Hospitality, or Healthcare and are looking to step into a management role, this position is for you!
We are looking for candidates who can:
- implement performance improvement and quality assurance programs targeted to improve customer satisfaction;
- monitor patient tray operations and daily meal rounding;
- monitor cafe operations;
- interact with patients and the nursing staff;
- perform tray assessments, training, stocking/inventory of the floors; and
- perform some HR functions and direct supervision of hourly associates.
The ideal candidate will have the following:
- Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to maintain the highest of standards and implement company policies
- Previous experience working in a high volume facility, a plus
- Supervisory or management experience a huge plus, preferably in health care, hospitality, and/or restaurants
