Unit Description

Sodexo is seeking an experienced Financial Analyst/Unit Controller who will bring energy and expertise to our Healthcare Technology Management (HTM) operations at North Shore Health System in Chicago, IL. In this role, you will collaborate with the Sodexo HTM leadership team and with client leadership, to provide data and analytics that will have a significant impact to the strategy and operations of this key organization.

Responsibilities for a talented Financial Analyst

  • Provide analytical, forecasting, reporting, and project support to management
  • Provide analytics of operational expenditures, such as repair parts, to assist in standardization
  • Medical device capital forecasting
  • Service contract management and evaluation
  • Provide weekly and monthly reporting of key metrics, financial amendments, and budget variances
  • Identify opportunities for performance improvements and efficiencies across the health system
  • Develop models that will help with decision-making

Qualifications for a Finance Analyst

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
  • 2-4 years of relevant experience in finance, financial planning, & analysis, or other related fields
  • The ability to work as part of a very dynamic leadership team
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft tools (Outlook, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Aptitude and desire to promote to leadership in a very progressive organization

Position Summary

Manages all accounting and financial matters for either a large multi-size national account OR a large complex single location account
Key Duties
- Data Collection from field - data review, analysis and suggestion of process improvement, review of FSC spot audits, accounts receivable review, review of new business,

- Oversight and direction of annual budgeting process & oversight and direction of period close process for all sites for Sodexo and Client, creation and maintenance of area forecasts, oversight of Project Clear compliance for portfolio.

- Financial Training and development of Sodexo General Managers.
- Creation, delivery & presentation of client specific financial reports as needed
- Oversight, training and support of POS systems and other cashless technology

-Train other controllers, analysts and field in contract interpretation, accounting procedures, system applications, and other areas


Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

Basic Functional Experience - 3 years of experience in finance, accounting or related field
