Product Handler I

Gannett Publishing is currently seeking a part time, product handler This is an evening/early morning position. The individual must be available at any time as the situation warrants. Job responsibilities include Sunday and early morning.
The Product Handler may also receive work assignments within many areas of the distribution function, which may include transportation, customer service, and re-delivery operations. This position works, nights, weekends and holidays.
The Product Handler provides general support for the circulation department by handling many of the departments night time operational needs.
This position is responsible for a variety of tasks and responsibilities within home delivery, single copy and non-daily distribution areas.
The Product handler job duties can entail but are not limited to: preparing paper work, distribution center coverage, distributing daily and non-daily products to independent contractors, loading or unloading trucks and general up-keep of the dock area and parking lot. This individual will conduct themselves in accordance with company policies and procedures; ensure quality customer service, maintain a safe work environment. and use sound judgment and discretion at all times.
Physical Ability: Moderate lifting, 50 lbs.; stand long period of time, bending, reaching, carrying and lifting; repetitive motion; work in outdoor weather conditions.
