  • Starting salary is between $24.36 and $24.85 per hour, plus an excellent benefits package that includes 3 weeks of annual vacation, sick leave, excellent health and dental benefits, and participation in the fully funded Wisconsin Retirement System pension plan, which is considered among the best in the country! Pay for current state employees will be set in accordance with the Wisconsin State Compensation Plan.
  • With satisfactory performance, there will be two $1.50/hour salary increases: one after each of the 1st and 2nd years.

What we're looking for:

Entry level auditor positions available:

  • Audit tax returns and records either in the office and/or at the taxpayer's business location
  • Locations including Appleton, Eau Claire, Green Bay, Madison, Milwaukee, Onalaska, and Wausau, WI as well as Edina, MN and Glen Ellyn, IL
    • For positions hired in Glen Ellyn, IL and Edina, MN, you may qualify for a hiring bonus up to $3,000

Qualified candidates will have one of the following:

  • completed or in the process of completing (within 6 months), a bachelor's degree or advanced degree with a major in accounting or taxation from an accredited institution, or
  • commensurate professional experience auditing accounting records and/or procedures to verify accuracy/conformity with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and generally accepted auditing standards (GAAS), or
  • a combination of academic preparation and professional auditing experience

Due to the nature of our work, a criminal background check, tax compliance check and fingerprinting will be conducted prior to offer of hire.
