SodexoMAGIC is seeking an experienced Food Operations Manager 3 for Delaware State University in Dover, DE. The Food Operations Manager 3 will lead the Student Dining program and have oversight of all campus Food Operations including Residential Dining, Retail, Catering and Branded Concepts. The candidate will have daily oversight of all food operations and constant interaction with clients, students, families, administration, staff, and faculty. Collaboration of the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution and consistency of strategic initiatives, commitments, and goals. Experience in leading unit managers in a fast-paced, high-profile university setting is preferred. The position will report directly to General Manager.

This account well be considered a showcase account for Sodexo, with exciting plans for many new innovations coming to campus. If you have experience with successfully presenting to C-Suite Level Leadership, developing teams more than 100 employees and executing new concepts in campus dining this position will be the perfect high-profile leadership opportunity!

A strong emphasis will be placed on client and customer engagement, strengthening financial operations and growing resident dining and retail. Supporting the campus mission, ensuring sustainable initiatives, providing quality Resident Dining, Retail and Catering. This is a great opportunity for an experienced leader to lead a talented team of professionals offering a benchmark student dining experience to provide strategic insight and direction to foster innovation and increase student engagement.

Position Summary

Provides leadership and supervision for the on-site food service exempt and non-exempt level staff in the delivery of our contractual agreement with the client. Provides supervision for food services at account/unit to ensure client satisfaction and retention for the company. Implements business practices in order to uphold company mission, values and commitments made in the Sodexo client contractual agreement.
Key Duties
- Establishes a safe work environment

- Assumes General Manager's (GM) responsibilities and authority in his/her absence

- Utilizes Sodexo tools and programs to develop client, customer, and staff relationships, to ensure account retention

- Implements and fully utilizes all Sodexo tools and programs to ensure financial outcomes

- Directs daily operations of food service to ensure employees have appropriate equipment, inventory and resources, ensures operating standards and regulatory requirements are met

- Develops and implements plans, projects, with defined objectives, methods, timetables and budget to support client and Sodexo strategic plan

- Ensures adherence to all HR standards for Sodexo, client, and regulatory agencies


Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

Basic Management Experience - 3 years

Basic Functional Experience - 3 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
