Sodexo is seeking a Food Service Manager 2 for Carlyle Place located in Macon, Georgia. This is a 280 resident upscale continuing care retirement community situated on 58 beautifully landscaped acres in northwest Macon about 80 miles from Atlanta. This position will assist in overseeing the dining operations for the skilled care and assisted living residents and dementia care unit (serving a total of approximately 90 residents) . Will report to the General Manager and manage a staff of approximately 25 hourly employees. Typical shift will be 10:30am - 7:00pm, may vary with every other weekend coverage.

The successful candidate will:

  • evaluate and develop service levels for the overall resident meal service program targeted to exceed resident and customer satisfaction;
  • collaborate with clinical, food service and interdisciplinary teams to enhance the resident experience;
  • ensure food quality and presentation;
  • exceed Sodexo standards for Gold Checks and achieve successful regulatory inspections and audits; and
  • perform management functions that include direct supervision of hourly associates including employee development, scheduling of staff.

  • a dietary manager certification (CDM), CDM eligible or must be willing to obtain within one year of hire;
  • prior food service management skills, preferably in health care food service environment; and

Position Summary

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
Basic Management Experience - 2 years
Basic Functional Experience - 1 year work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
