1-What do the fields mean on the Profile?
 
  • Name: Your first and last name(s).
  • Telephone Numbers: We need at least one telephone number - either daytime, evening or fax, in case we need to contact you. Please incorporate the full country code is outside the U.S.
  • Present Location: The region, country, and locale where you currently reside.
  • I Prefer To Read In: This is the language in which you prefer to navigate the site and receive communication from us.
  • Employment Desired: Your preference for Permanent, Temporary, or Contract work, as well as your Full-time vs. Part-time preference. This information is optional.
  • Date Available: When you could be available to start a new job. .
  • Work Authorizations: The countries in which you are currently legally authorized to work.
  • Highest Education Level: The highest level of education that you have achieved.
  • Industry Experience: Indicate the industries in which you have previous experience. If you are an entry level applicant, select "Other".
  • Functional Experience: Indicate the job functions that you have held in your past positions. If you are looking for an entry level position, select "Entry".
  • Current Job Type: Indicate your current position level.
  • Language Skills: Select the skill level of each language in which you possess competency.

  • 2-How do I change my Profile information?
     
  • Log-in to "My LatPro"
  • Click on "My Profile"
  • Adjust any information (use the "ctrl" or "apple" key for multiple selections)
  • Be sure to click "Save Changes"
  • You can check the way it looks by going into your review the changes by choosing a resume and clicking on "View"

    Press the Control (Ctrl) key and hold it down while you select multiple options with the mouse.

    4-Why do you need so much information about me?
     

    This information is what recruiters require to be able to evaluate you as a potential hire. When you become a LatPro member, you only provide us with your your profile and resume information JUST ONCE. Every time after that, for the duration of your membership, you’ll simply enter your e-mail address and password. The rest of your information is recorded in the LatPro.com database. The only thing you’ll need to copy from your word processor and paste into the on-screen form is your customized cover letter. We don’t automatically save the cover letter for you, since you should create a new one to fit each job opportunity.

    5-Will my personal information be made available to recruiters?

     

    Only if you ask us to do so. When you create your resume, you select your privacy options and can withold your name, current employer, address, e-mail, and phone numbers

    6-What if I don't want my personal information released to recruiters?
     

    Yes. We are aware that many job seekers don't want their personal information disclosed to recruiters. We allow you to control what personal information is available to recruiters searching our database. You can choose to not display: your name, current company, mailing address, e-mail address, and telephone number(s). If a recruiter finds your resume in our resume database, and you've hidden your contact information, they can reach you via an e-mail sent through LatPro .

    You can specify different privacy options for each of your resumes. To change or specify your preference:

    • From the "My LatPro" page click on "My resumes"
    • Choose "Edit" next to your resume version
    • Choose whether to add your resume to our searchable database, or to only use when you apply for a position.
    • Scroll down and select the information which you want displayed (name, phone, e-mail, etc...)
    • Be sure to click "Save Changes"
    • If you would like to include contact information when applying for a job, you are free to do that.
