1 - What are Saved Searches and Agents?
 

A Saved Search is a search you frequently make and have chosen to save to avoid having to specify the same parameters every time you search for similar jobs. After saving a search, you will be able to run the same search again later with just one click. Agents are a special case of stored searches that are "run" for every new job at the end of the day. You will receive notification by email when your Agent finds new jobs matching your criteria.

2 - How do Saved Searches work?
 


Saving a Search:

  1. Log in to your LatPro job seeker account.
  2. Go to the job search page by clicking on the Job Search tab.
  3. Choose the desired criteria and click the Search button to generate the search results.
  4. At the bottom of the Search Results page, click on Save this Search.
  5. Once Saved Search pop-up screen is displayed, type in a name for your search.
    You may also choose to make this Saved Search a Job Agent by choosing the option "yes".
  6. Click on Save this Search.

Running a Saved Search:

  1. Go to the job search page by clicking on the Job Search tab.
  2. On the top of the screen, there is a drop-down menu where you can then select a Saved Search, then click the Run button.

  1. Go to your My LatPro page.
  2. Click on Saved searches.
  3. Click the Run button next to the desired Saved Search criteria.

Deleting a Saved Search:

  1. Go to your My LatPro page.
  2. Click on Saved searches.
  3. Click the Delete button next to the Saved Search you wish to delete.

Editing a Search

Currently, a Saved Searches criteria can not be edited. If you wish to alter the criteria of a specific Saved Search, simply delete and re-create it with the correct parameters.

3 - Why can't I see the Save this Search button?
 

You will not be able to see the Save this Search button if:

  • You may have already saved the maximum number searches allowed with your account (see q.4). If you would like add new searches, you may choose to upgrade your account.
    -- OR --
  • You are already running a Saved Search - there is no need to save it again.

You will be able to save a different number of searches, depending on your membership level.

5-Job Agent Overview.
 

Job Agent allows you to automatically receive (via e-mail) our new job postings as they are published based on the criteria you set in a Saved Search.

6-Using Job Agents
 

Creating a Search Agent:

The first step to create an Agent is determining a job search criteria and creating a Saved Search (see above):

  1. Log in to your LatPro job seeker account.
  2. Go to the job search page by clicking on the Job Search tab.
  3. Choose the desired criteria and click the Search button to generate the search results.
  4. At the bottom of the Search Results page, click on Save this Search.
  5. Once Saved Search pop-up screen is displayed, type in a name desired for your search.
  6. Choose the option yes for the question "Make this search a job agent?"
  7. Click on Save this Search.

If you already have a Saved Search and want to activate it as an agent, follow these steps:

  • Go to your My LatPro page.
  • Click on Saved searches.
  • Click the Make Agent button next to the Saved Search you wish to make it an Agent.

Once the Agent is activated for that particular Saved Search, you will start receiving job postings by mail as they are being published on the site.

Viewing Agent Results Online:

  • Go to your My LatPro page.
  • Click on Saved Jobs and agent results.

Deleting an Agent: To deactivate an Agent, you will need to delete the Saved Search.

7-Why I am not receiving job postings from the Job Agent?
 

The most common problem that would prevent you from receiving e-mail notifications from the Job Agent is a narrow criteria set on the Saved Search. If that is the case, create a Saved Search with fewer search parameters and - if necessary, avoid using keywords since those will impose a very narrow search criteria.

You will be able to activate a different number of Job Agents, depending on your membership level.
