Ask yourself these questions:

  • How many languages are spoken by your customers?
  • Is your company capable of communicating with these customers? (marketing, advertising, customer service) In how many countries does your company operate?
  • Do you have people that have international experience and multicultural backgrounds. How much does employee turnover cost your company? Do you see a pattern in the employees that are leaving? (religion, gender, ethnicity?)
  • Do all employees feel that their talents and skills are well rewarded?
  • How much does your company spend annually on minority recruitment? Are your policies and benefits attractive to potential diverse recruits?
  • How much have discrimination suits cost your organization in the past year? (legal fees, settlements, public relations backlash)
  • Is diversity reflected in your procurement policies and among your suppliers?
