Articles and Interviews about Logistics
Originally, the term logistics was used by the military to refer to the procurement, maintenance, and transportation of things as well as personnel. The term has been extrapolated into the business world, more specifically the area of supply-chain, the system that, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), moves a product from supplier to consumer. Logisticians are all those professionals who work in the field of logistics but do not necessarily share a job title or do the same type of work. According to the BLS, “employment of logisticians is projected to grow 7 percent from 2016 to 2026, about as fast as the average for all occupations.” So we interview professionals with a proven track record to provide useful information that will educate and empower others interested to work as logisticians.
