Laboratory Aide

We are seeking a casual Laboratory Aide to assist in laboratory duties and techniques. The goal is to participate and learn the planning of experiments and evaluating/interpreting test results utilizing knowledge of research laboratory procedures and practices.

Specific Duties & Responsibilities

  • Follows established procedures or protocols and utilizes aseptic technique to perform laboratory tests and/or experiments which include iPSC cell culture, immunohistochemistry, immunocytochemistry, microscopy, and other basic molecular biology techniques.
  • Uses various software applications, such as Excel spreadsheets, electronic mail, World Wide Web, statistical packages, and graphics packages to assemble, manipulate and/or format data and/or test reports.
  • Participate in the organization and operation of the laboratory. Performs general lab maintenance duties. Will need to maintain excellent written records and electronic databases.
  • Prepares solutions, reagents, and stains following standard laboratory formulas and procedures.
  • Understand and follow standard operating procedures for environmental sample collection.
  • Understand and follow standard operating procedures for environmental sample collection, transport, storage, processing, and analysis using laboratory techniques and instruments
  • Perform miscellaneous related duties as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications
  • Actively pursuing High School Diploma or graduation equivalent

Role/Level/Range: ACRO40/E/01/CA
Starting Salary Range: $15.00 - $20.00 HRLY ($2,000 targeted; Commensurate with experience)

Schedule: Monday to Friday: 8:30 am - 5 pm
