Responsibilities

The Nurse Manager is responsible for assisting the Director with the overall leadership responsibilities of the department in accordance with established nursing standards, philosophy and BSA mission/vision. The Nurse Manager serves as a vital link between management and the clinical staff as well as strives to achieve efficient, safe and cost effective patient care.


Qualifications

Job Requirements:

  • Graduate of accredited School of Nursing
  • BSN or actively enrolled/pursuing BSN, must complete within 24 months
  • Current License as RN in State of Texas
  • American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Life Support Certification
  • ACLS, PALS and TNCC corresponding to area of service

Preferred Job Requirements:

  • Previous acute care experience
  • Demonstrates leadership and management skills in a healthcare environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Three years of experience in clinical specialty
