Experienced Apparel Screen Printing Press Operator - Seasonal FT or PT

SUMMARY

In this role, you will be a valuable part of our apparel team, observing the highest standards of safety and quality while ensuring our production quotas are met in a timely fashion. You will be responsible for not only your own job duties but also on a need-by basis, maintaining the press equipment and ensuring a safe and clean working environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Must consistently have a positive attitude toward providing excellent service and co-workers
  • Ability to meet established deadlines, production minimums and standards
  • Ability to work under potentially stressful conditions in a fast-paced environment
  • Must have demonstrated knowledge of product flow, mechanical aptitude, and leadership skills
  • Ability to understand and conform to established safety, OSHA, EPA, and Life Safety rules and regulations
  • Must comply with company policy of wearing personal protective equipment such as hearing protection, gloves, safety glasses, etc.
  • Ability to use the tools of the maintenance trade
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
  • Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • All other duties and responsibilities as assigned


EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE



  • High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED); and
  • Minimum of 1-3 years related experience and/or training; or
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience in a warehouse environment


PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS OF THE POSITION



  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk for prolonged periods of time; work in and around a variety of industrial machinery and presses; occasionally climb; effectively communicate and listen
  • Must be able to use hands to grasp, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls
  • Must be able to frequently lift and/or move objects up to 35lbs
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus
  • Must be able to tolerate a moderate-to-high noise level in a warehouse environment
  • Must be able to work in extreme weather conditions; inside the warehouse where temperature normally is 15 degrees greater/lesser than actual


OTHER REQUIREMENTS



  • Must be available to work hours and days as needed based on apparel schedule demands as apparel schedules and shifts may change throughout the year. Schedule requirements may include working days, afternoons, nights, 1st shift, and 2nd shift as needed.
