Sodexo Corporate services seeks a qualified Operations Manager with experience managing facilities services for a client in DC. This manager will provide supervision of Facilities Help Desk, Console Operator and Parking at the International Monetary Fund (IMF) to ensure client satisfaction and retention; implement strategies to meet Client and Company objectives and achieve profitable growth; ensure high customer satisfaction through developing team members and delivering quality services.

Key Duties

  • Directs daily operation of Facilities Help Desk (Work orders), Console Operator and Parking services at the International Monetary Fund (IMF) to ensure employees have appropriate equipment and resources to perform their jobs and meet goals and deadlines.
  • Supervises day-to-day work activities by delegating authority, assigning and prioritizing activities and monitoring operating standards.
  • Assists in the development of new business service(s) for the client and implements the service program(s), e.g. Help Desk Transformation and Parking Modernization
  • Manages the budget by controlling costs (e.g. labor, inventory, equipment, materials), complying with budget requirements and adjusting when necessary. Labor management and inventory management being the primary cost containment targets
  • Establishes operating standards, implements quality improvements and communicates them to stakeholders.
  • Promotes and supports workplace diversity and inclusion initiatives.
  • Develops and disseminate facility notifications for action, information sharing and reference
  • Conduct trend and root cause analysis across service lines for performance improvement and customer satisfaction opportunities. Provide recommendations for operational change to unit leadership.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional project teams in support of the implementation of facility projects
  • Establishes a safe work environment for employees ensuring safety standards, protocols and information is communicated in preparation for and during facility incidents. Additionally, responsible for the staff’s Safety training program, incl PPE maintenance.

Our idea candidate will have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Facilities Management, Operations Management or related discipline
  • 3+ years’ experience in a facilities management position
  • FMP, CFM designation preferred
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • Impeccable verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong understanding of work order systems
  • Able to read and understand floorplans
  • Basic knowledge of building systems (electrical, mechanical and HVAC)
  • Excellent project management skills

Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience

Basic Management Experience - 3 years   

Basic Functional Experience - 3 years work experience in facilities (e.g., maintenance, plant operations, engineering services, grounds, custodial/environmental, or transportation) or food (e.g., food services or operations, concessions, retail sales, store operations, or vending) services
